OUTDOOR SWIMMING SEASON 2019 / 2020

Dear parents,

Our initial aim with the outdoor groups was to provide swimmers who showed potential with an option to train for their school teams and participate in galas. Over the past 5 years of being involved with VRS Primary School we have seen the sport grow every year and have been privileged to coach their team as well.
​
Due to the growth of their social group, we will be co-coaching both their team and social group for this season. The social group is made up of swimmers who wants to learn proper strokes as well as swimmers training to get into their school teams.

Because of the time constraints in teaching both groups, we are giving parents the option to join the social team instead of private tuition with us. (as we will be coaching the social team) If your child is a pupil at VRS Primary School, they do not have to pay any fees except for entrance to Ou Skip. For those who do not attend VRS Primary you can also join the group, however fees will apply as below.
Venue: Ou Skip Holiday resort
Swimmers need to purchase their annual seasons tickets from Ou Skip directly. No one will be allowed into the swimming pool area without a valid ticket/ daily entrance fee. This includes parents and siblings accompanying swimmers as well.

FEES:
VRS swimmers social group no charge
Non-VRS swimmers joining the social squads: Terms fees – R500 for 1 x p/w or R700 for 2 x p/w
Private coaching groups of 5+ swimmers: Term fees - R600 1 x p/w
Should there be less than 5 swimmers in the private coaching groups, individual fees similar to indoor rates will apply.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Proper swimming costume (no bikini’s for girls) and own goggles. Wetsuits may be worn in colder weather especially by younger swimmers. Swimming cap (MS swim caps available at R80).
