1.    Lessons are to be paid in full at the start of the term or in 2 installments with the first at the start of the term and the second before the end of the term. 
2.    For every new enrolment a once off registration fee of R200 will apply.  
3.    Should you/your child be ill and/or be unable to attend lessons please let the instructor know timeously.
4.    Lessons missed are forfeited and no make up lessons will be done.
5.    Fees are calculated on a 9-week term and any extra weeks will make up for lessons missed due to public holidays or if lessons have been cancelled by the parents / swimmers.
6.    Please arrive 5 minutes before the lesson, ready to swim. Should you be late the lesson will be shortened accordingly.
7.    Your child is at all times the parent/guardian’s responsibility.
8.    If 2 consecutive lessons are missed without prior notification, the remaining lessons are forfeited.
9.    The instructor reserves the right to cancel a lesson. The lesson will be made up at a mutually convenient time, Should a substitute instructor be available, the lessons will continue.
10.    No swimmer may enter the water until asked to do so by the instructor. This is for safety and so as not to distract children having lessons.
11.    Parents/guardians will be held responsible for any damage your child or any person/child accompanying them onto the premises may cause. Melkbos Swim, it’s instructors and the property owner will not be held liable for any damage/breakages caused by persons on the premises, whether on purpose or accidental
12.    All babies/toddlers or those that are not potty trained must wear waterproof swim diapers (or similar) with their costume over. The only disposable nappies that may be worn are the Huggies swimmers. Babies are not allowed in the pool without proper swim gear. 
13.    Please do not bring your little one if they are suffering from any of the following: 
Pink eye (or any eye infection)
Rotor virus
Any contagious/infectious ailments.
14.    Please understand that the pool enclosure is kept  to keep the children and instructors in the water as comfortable as possible, we understand you may get very hot but please do not open the doors and windows as this leads to water temperature dropping and children and instructors getting cold. You are welcome to sit outside if it does become unbearable.    
15.    Parents are requested to keep siblings and/or friends under control – they may not sit on the edge of the pool or distract children having lessons.      

        

GUIDELINES FOR CHILDREN: 
1.    Your child should not eat at least 30 minutes prior to the lesson.
2.    Children must go to the toilet and blow their noses before the lesson.
3.    A swimming cap is compulsory for every child, they keep the hair out of eyes, faces and pool filter.
4.    Pack in warm clothes, something to eat and drink for after the lesson.
5.    If your presence is a distraction please consider waiting outside.
6.    Remember to praise your child for their accomplishments after each class – Children can never get enough praise.
